FELDO "Each product must have its own, easily recognizable technical seal of quality". Evidently this is also valid for our luxury watches. For this reason, FELDO does not incorporate current complications from different models of luxury watches, the product itself is the complication.
Thus the product is born, and at first sight they don't seem to be for everyone. Nevertheless, the special client who loves modern designs, elegant materials and great technical refinement, immediately understands that these luxury watches correspond to their desires.
How is each product made? Each step can been seen, including a description, from conception to the final product. (the images don not correspond to any particular model from the current collection, but are provided for this example):
|
||||||||||||||
|
The idea for a new FELDO product first appears in a handmade sketch done on a drawing table eg. luxury watches. |
||||||||||||||
|
The product is then developed further with the help of CAD software. |
||||||||||||||
|
The
prototype
When the project is finished, a 3D visual model is generated and the prototype is manufactured on that basis. |
||||||||||||||
|
During the this phase, the prototypes are mechanically tested and production costs are calculated. |
||||||||||||||
|
Mini production
When the prototype has passed all laboratory tests, the prototype passes to a limited production run. |

A very special service: FELDO luxury watches are subjected to strict measures of control as far as quality and functionality are concerned. These luxury watches will be with you for many years as an impeccable functional piece of jewelry. If, by chance, a defect appears at the luxury watch, you can resort to FELDO's special service by returning to the place where it was purchased or by contacting FELDO directly. - They would be responsible for sending the watch back for repair and for returning it to you once it has been fixed. - Without any additional cost and anywhere in the world. Naturally, during the period of guarantee, the repair of your luxury watches would take place without any additional cost to you. Outside that period, and depending on the defect, you would receive a repair cost estimate. The special service of collecting and returning the watch, would still be without cost to you outside of the period of guarantee. Therefore there is nothing to worry about. Overhauling the luxury watches: The manufacture of luxury watches must meet specific measurements to within a thousandth of a millimeter. It is inevitable that such a mechanism is subject to a certain amount of deterioration over time. All the luxury watches, as much mechanical models as automatic ones, will therefore require inspection every four to five years, to verify the accuracy of the internal components, to clean the watch and possibly to adjust the mechanism. Depending on the retailer, this overhaul could be done by their watchmaker. The watchmaker can request sketches of the watch to assist with the overhaul, allowing them to manipulate the watch accurately. If they require a spare part, they can request them directly from FELDO. Doing an overhaul regularly ensures the watch retains its value and that it will continue to be enjoyed by future generations. All our luxury watches appear in the web pages of FELDO International: Montres de luxe, Timepieces, Luxusuhren, Relojes de lujo, Relojes de pulsera, Orologi di lusso, Relojes, Luxury watches, Armbanduhren, Relojes de diseño, FELDO news, Luxury goods, Designeruhren, Luxusuhr, Designeruhr, Wrist watches, Designer watches for men, Gemelos para camisa, Cufflinks, Wrist watches, Watches, Boutons de Manchette, Gemelli per camicia and Relojes de caballero are manufactured to meet the highest standards of quality.

Extras: FELDO luxury watches essentially seduce by their extraordinary design and extra secure technology. Many watch manufacturers put the mechanism of the watch first. Often the most important characteristics are new complications in design or at least ones that are established but improved upon. With FELDO, our luxury watches are designed using good technical mechanisms, attention is centered unequivocally on a different technical presentation, as nowadays even luxury watches serve firstly to tell the time and secondly as a piece of jewelry. Jewelry was very fashionable a thousand years ago and even today most people wear at least one piece of jewelry. The term jewel also refers to semi-precious stones which are often used to adorn more precious materials. Nowadays, jewels are used to embellish the appearance of an item. In the past, however, aside from being of high material value, a jewel also had magical and even erotic value. Heads of families were normally adorned with the most expensive pieces of jewelry giving off an air of inaccessibility. Even today jewelry is used to show social status or to guarantee financial security. However, for most people a jewel is simply the most beautiful thing in the world. Let us return to the repercussions of luxury watches. Each suit at night becomes magnificent with an appropriate watch is being worn. These luxury watches are always rare. Designers produce the most unusual forms. The mechanism of the watch is its skeleton, the colours, the diverse forms and measurements are created and combined with diverse materials. In this way, a watch can be made to specifically suit each client.
Protection of the design: In each FELDO watch, we can always find, aside from its functionality, an original design or a special technical extra. These properties are protected by a patent once a new design has been created. This right of protection is granted by a Swiss institution and it's governed according to a European or a world-wide model. This reiterates the uniqueness and particularity of the watch and certifies its title as being an exclusive piece.

Anchor escapement This ensures that the pendulum maintains a swing between 4¼-6¼, ensuring the pendulum remains accurate. Automatic luxury watches An automatic or self-winding watch is a mechanical watch, whose mainspring is wound automatically by the natural motion of the wearer's arm, to make it unnecessary to manually wind the watch. Most mechanical luxury watches sold today are self-winding. |

Evolution of watches
During the Prehistory man
measured time. Our ancestors built stone colums so that when a start
concurred the alignment of these columns, it indicated an important moment
or date. Ancient egipcian pillars were elements whose shadow moved with the
passing of the day and indicated the hours between dawn and sunset. The next
step in the measuring of time was the creation of background watches which
did not depend on stars to operate by themselves. Babylonian, egipcian,
chinese and indian used a vessel of water, having a small hole in the
bottom, so that the liquid dripped out drop by drop. As the level within the
jar was lowered, it showed the time upon a scale and indicated the hours.
Another kind of watch was the the sand-glass or hourglass which appeared
approximately 500 years ago. Fine sand poured through a tiny hole from an
upper into a lower compartment. When one of the funnel-shaped bowls had
emptied itself--then waited with entire unconcern until some one stood it
upon its head and caused the sand to run backagain. Another method used to
measure time consisted on measuring time while a substance was consumed or
burnt. The most famous of these watches type was the one formed by a
graduated candle, however rope with knots and oil lamps with graduated depot
were also commonly used. Mechanical watches with clock hands which slowly
were moved by the action of gears firstly appeared some centurias ago. There
is still available in Paris a clock created in 1364 to Charles V. In these
primitive watches the movement was originated by means of a hanging weight
which boosted a gear wheel whose teeth were placed perpendicular to its
diameter. Two laminations called “pumps”, placed on a horizontal axis which
oscillated, engaged the previously mentioned gear wheel teeth and regulated
its movement. This was the first system used for watches as well as the
weight was the first driving system. We also need to talk about the third
essential system of a watch which is the oscillator in charge of the escape
movements. In the primitive watch we are dealing with, this funtion was
carried out by a jemmy fixed to the end of the escape axis (the one with the
two laminations) which oscillated by the impulse produced by the teeth of
the gear wheel. The oscillation duration was regulated by means of a slide
weight fixed to the jemmy. These watches were sometimes innacurate due to
their original mechanisms: escape and oscillation. |

Quartz luxury watches A quartz watch uses an electronic oscillator that is regulated by a quartz crystal to keep time. This crystal oscillator creates a signal with very precise frequency, so that quartz clocks are at least an order of magnitude more accurate than good mechanical clocks. |

Time The measurement of time is so critical to the functioning of modern societies that it is coordinated at an international level. The basis for scientific time is a continuous count of seconds based on atomic clocks around the world, known as the International Atomic Time (TAI). This is the yardstick for other time scales, including Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), which is the basis for civil time. Time keeping This indicates the general accuracy of a watch and can be determined over 24 hour periods at how well it keep time. All types of luxury watches and watch movements have different time keeping abilities according to the technology being used. Tourbillon (or whirlwind) A Tourbillon is a watch in which the entire escapement assembly rotates. |
