The Idea

The idea for a new FELDO product first appears in a handmade sketch done on a drawing table eg. luxury watches.

Project development

The product is then developed further with the help of CAD software.

When the project is finished, a 3D visual model is generated and the prototype is manufactured on that basis.

The test phase

During the this phase, the prototypes are mechanically tested and production costs are calculated.

When the prototype has passed all laboratory tests, the prototype passes to a limited production run.

A very special service:

FELDO luxury watches are subjected to strict measures of control as far as quality and functionality are concerned. These luxury watches will be with you for many years as an impeccable functional piece of jewelry. 

If, by chance, a defect appears at the luxury watch, you can resort to FELDO's special service by returning to the place where it was purchased or by contacting FELDO directly. 

     - They would be responsible for sending the watch back for repair and for returning it to you once it has been fixed.

     - Without any additional cost and anywhere in the world. 

Naturally, during the period of guarantee, the repair of your luxury watches would take place without any additional cost to you. Outside that period, and depending on the defect, you would receive a repair cost estimate. The special service of collecting and returning the watch, would still be without cost to you outside of the period of guarantee. Therefore there is nothing to worry about. 

Overhauling the luxury watches: 

The manufacture of luxury watches must meet specific measurements to within a thousandth of a millimeter. It is inevitable that such a mechanism is subject to a certain amount of deterioration over time. All the luxury watches, as much mechanical models as automatic ones, will therefore require inspection every four to five years, to verify the accuracy of the internal components, to clean the watch and possibly to adjust the mechanism. Depending on the retailer, this overhaul could be done by their watchmaker. 

The watchmaker can request sketches of the watch to assist with the overhaul, allowing them to manipulate the watch accurately. If they require a spare part, they can request them directly from FELDO. Doing an overhaul regularly ensures the watch retains its value and that it will continue to be enjoyed by future generations. Materials:

Gold

This fascinating material has been used as jewelry for thousands of years and is used as an alloy in FELDO's exclusive luxury watches.

Ceramics used by FELDO emphasize the technical handmade quality that distinguishes FELDO's products. Ceramics are used in many technical areas from aeronautics to blades that are resistant to wear.

Carbon or carbon fiber is used in many technical fields, such as the material used to construct the bodies of Formula 1 cars and is also used in FELDO products.

In FELDO wristluxury watches, double anti-reflectant sapphire crystal is used. This does not radiate and is therefore the best material of watch crystals.

Kevlar, also known as aramida, is used in the security sector for bulletproof vests and is now in exclusive FELDO products.

Stainless steel is used as a modern alloy in many applications.

This well-known material acts like a shock absorber for oscillations and is also used in FELDO luxury products.

Due to its high durability and light weight, titanium is used in aviation and for astro-navigation, so it is an interesting material for all FELDO luxury watches.

This noble metal is an excellent heating material and an important conductor used in electro technics. Copper also has applications in FELDO products.

The movements

The mechanisms in FELDO luxury watches, whether manual, automatic or battery powered (depending on the model), are all high quality. They work accurately and by shaking.

Anchor escapement

This ensures that the pendulum maintains a swing between 4¼-6¼, ensuring the pendulum remains accurate. 

Automatic luxury watches

An automatic or self-winding watch is a mechanical watch, whose mainspring is wound automatically by the natural motion of the wearer's arm, to make it unnecessary to manually wind the watch. Most mechanical luxury watches sold today are self-winding.

Bayonet clasp

A combination that fastens two pieces together by way of allowing one piece to slide and lock against the other.

Determination of time

Quartz luxury watches
